Abstract
Patients/clients
requiring psychiatric care have complex and multiple needs that also
require direct pathways to various services provided by other sectors
such as primary care, housing and acute care. E-health strategies
allow for the provision of secure information related to the
electronic health record, sharing of knowledge, and training and
education.
This presentation will focus on the impact of e-health strategies
on clinical information systems; the issues surrounding the capture
and management of clinical information, and the availability and
access of clinical information to psychiatric care givers.
