Smarter Health Seminar Series:
eHealth Strategies: Local to Global
The infraNET Project and the Waterloo Institute for Health
Informatics Research are hosting a series of Smarter Health Seminars
entitled "eHealth Strategies: Local to Global."
This series examines the Canadian and Ontario's e-health
strategy in detail. Massive federal and provincial investments are
being made in systems with the goals of realizing a pervasive
Electronic Health Record (EHR) and better managing healthcare. Experts
from agencies and projects involved in implementing these strategies
and systems will articulate what they are about, and will give the
audience an opportunity to both understand and to critically evaluate
progress in realizing the promise of information and communications technologies
in the health system.
The presentations will be 50 minutes in duration, followed
by a 30-40 minute facilitated discussion.
The seminars are hosted by David Johnston, President of the
University of Waterloo. Dominic Covvey, Director of WIHIR is the
moderator for the seminars.
