Smarter Health Seminar Series:
eHealth Strategies: Local to Global

The infraNET Project and the Waterloo Institute for Health Informatics Research are hosting a series of Smarter Health Seminars entitled "eHealth Strategies: Local to Global.

This series examines the Canadian and Ontario's e-health strategy in detail. Massive federal and provincial investments are being made in systems with the goals of realizing a pervasive Electronic Health Record (EHR) and better managing healthcare. Experts from agencies and projects involved in implementing these strategies and systems will articulate what they are about, and will give the audience an opportunity to both understand and to critically evaluate progress in realizing the promise of information and communications technologies in the health system.

The presentations will be 50 minutes in duration, followed by a 30-40 minute facilitated discussion.

The seminars are hosted by David Johnston, President of the University of Waterloo. Dominic Covvey, Director of WIHIR is the moderator for the seminars.
