Abstract
Mr. Huesing will present his views on ICT innovations,
real and imagined, in terms of new products and the application of new
technologies within the healthcare marketplace. He will review the
re-organization of the industry in terms of collaborations and
partnerships among industry, government and health organizations, the
increasing role and impact of government, and pseudo government
agencies initiatives.
Using real world examples, he will explore technologies
that he believes will play prominent and beneficial roles in supporting
the healthcare delivery system in the immediate future and beyond. Concluding
with a state of the union : a reality check of what we have
achieved, what weaknesses we have to overcome, and what challenges we face, he
will offer some suggestions as to what we need to do to prepare for the future.
